Hawzah News Agency- Imam Ali (pbuh) said:
الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ أَمْحَقُ لِلْخَطَايَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ لِلنَّارِ، وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ عِتْقِ رِقَابٍ.
Sending blessings (salawat) upon the Prophet (pbuh and his family) obliterates sins more than water extinguishes fire, and sending peace upon the Prophet (pbuh and his family) is better than freeing slaves.
